Life.

 Sometimes all it takes is a sleeping baby in your arms to make life seem so real. We are truly blessed to have another night, another day, another minute with our family, friends, loved ones. I know almost every post I say this but sometimes people (myself included) need a reminder of how blessed we are. How everything could end in a second, life is like a vapor. I want to cherish every minute of my kids years, every minute of my years. 

Today was a wonderful day. We spent several hours over a friends house, celebrating a sweet little boys one year birthday! I was able to have an afternoon full of laughter with a group of sweet ladies and then a much needed afternoon out. My Nook came in the mail today so I had to accessorize it.  I am so glad I paid the money for a cover because it is like holding a book, it makes it a little easier.

Tonight has been spent watching movies with my wee ones. I'm so ready for bedtime. 

The Big 3

I am truly amazed at how time flies. It never slows and every day seems to go by faster than the first. I cannot believe I am 23. That many years of my life are gone. Scott and I will have been married for 7 years come June but the most amazing of all is Sam turned 3 this past Sunday. Three years old.  It feels like just yesterday we were going to the hospital to start mu induction, just yesterday that I was holding him in my arms for the first time. Only 15 years until he is an adult. When I was younger that seemed like such a long time but now it just doesn't seem long enough. 


It snowed on Friday. We had a big party for him on Saturday. All of his friends that we have met while being here in Louisiana showed up. What made the day so special was Gran, Chief, Ray-Re, Uncle By and Nate drove 7.5 hours in awful weather to spend the weekend with us and be here for Sam's big day! He got a lot of amazing presents and even some money that he is going to buy some bath tub toys with. We had a Toy Story themed birthday cake that the commissary made. It was really good and I was impressed.   On Sunday after everyone left Sam laid around and watched Despicable Me over and over while eating left over birthday cake and enjoying his actual Birthday by playing.
